Autism Parent Coach

Let’s Work Together

Hi, I’m Dana!  and I’m so glad you are here…        I would like to share my story with as many parents I can to give hope and to support parents just like you !

My Story

I’m  a mother of two children On the autistic spectrum.

It took me a while until I came to term with the sentence above and admitted it to myself and to all around me.

When my first son was born I was naive and as many first time moms didn’t know what to expect and what consider to be within the range of development.

There were red flags which I chose to ignore and live life to the fullest as long as I could.

When my son didn’t speak by the age of 4 I decided to take action I didn’t give up and kept on researching for the next challenge.        I have dedicated my life to help my boys and now I want to help others in similar situations.

Through the years I’ve completed several courses and a was exposed to a large number of activities in different sensory disciplines for learning difficulties sensory to help children on the autistic spectrum.  I have managed to achieve results when others lost hope.

You might ask how did I succeed where doctors and specialists in the field failed to make an impact?

The answer is by knowing how to integrate the the methods and therapies in a holistic way, knowing what should be done at each stage of development and how to implement it in an effective way.

The relation with the therapist is as important as the treatment itself,  in my book I have dedicated a chapter to discuss how to deal and what to expect from a therapist to know that you communicate at the same level and have the same educational approach.

My book is called  “Against The Odds” as without taking action I  would have doomed my sons to be dependent on social services for the rest of their lives.

The Book is a collection of private moments and the very bumpy path  that brought me to where I’m today.

‘m passionate about helping parents help their children and take special interest in brain research and development in particular studies that focus on the connection with the plasticity of the brain.  My approach is holistic and practical at the same time, using my knowledge and experience I can connect the dots and help parents achieve results.
Many parents come to me for consultation because of my down-to-earth perspective, sensitive approach and my passion to help parents  getting the results they wish for.

My Values & Beliefs

There is always something to do

Don’t listen to those who tell you that you have to ‘live with this condition’ and there is absolutely nothing you can do to help. I have always seen progress even a little progress is a huge step forward.

There is no 'one size fits all'

Every child is unique and every family is unique. I have worked with many families to discover how different we all are and when it comes to progress those families who took action saw the greatest results.

There is always hope

I have learned a lot from colleagues and therapists who were dedicated and genuine I share my knowledge and experience with you. it takes a village to raise a child and it takes a whole town to raise and progress a child on the autistic spectrum, I have seen it all : easy moderate and more complex cases.  with love support and dedication the sky is the limit.

Holistic approach is the most effective approach !!

Therapists and those who specialize in learning difficulties will often tell you that their treatment is the solution to all your problems.       This is often because they specialize in the niche, they are the authority in their field but often have very little visibility and knowledge on other methods and therapies options and possibilities you didn’t explore.

Even the most genuine therapists will not be able to recommend and comment on other treatments as they are not familiar with the details the effectiveness and the suitability of such a treatment.

I have been there and done the research so you don’t have to, I spent days and nights to discover and explore all options to help my boys overcome their difficulties.

I believe that those who focus on nutrition only or on a specific therapy miss the whole picture which is essential to make a good progress.

I have met parents who accepted their GP advice to put the child on medication and was happy to see the progress when they changed their mind once they saw the amazing results they achieved naturally.
